Railway News: There will be a mega block at Gorakhpur Junction for six days in September for non-interlocking of Gorakhpur-Domingarh third line and Gorakhpur-Nakha double line. The block will be carried out from September 22 to 27. After the inspection of the Railway Safety Commissioner on September 27, the operation of trains will resume from September 28, jagran.com reported.
The railway administration has prepared a proposal for non-interlocking and sent it to the board. The process of non-interlocking will begin as soon as the board's approval is received. Currently, the work of Gorakhpur to Domingarh third line and Gorakhpur to Nakaha Jungle double line is in its final stage.
All the work will be completed from July to August. For the Gorakhpur-Domingarh third railway line, the old wall has been demolished and a new wall has been built on the roadside between Dharamshala Bridge and Tarang Chauraha. The third line has been laid from Gorakhpur Junction to Cantt and Kusmhi.
Train operations have also started on the Karnailganj-Saryu-Jarwal Road-Ghaghra Ghat third line on the Gonda-Barabanki section of the Northeast Railway.
Trains Will Also Be Blocked For FOB
A new foot overbridge (FOB) is being built at Gorakhpur Junction. The foundation of the FOB pillar is being prepared on platform number 3/4. For this, a block will be taken for a few days affecting train operations. Similarly, the foundation of the FOB pillars will be prepared on platforms 5/6, 7/8 and 9.
