In a tragic incident reported from Jhaupur town under the Radhanagar police station area on Sunday morning, a man named Ajay Singh killed his 32-year-old wife, Shikha Singh. Driven by suspicion of an illicit affair, Ajay struck her on the head with an iron crowbar, resulting in her death.

Surrender And Confession

Following the crime, the accused walked into the Radhanagar police station himself and informed the authorities about the incident. The police immediately took him into custody. During interrogation, the husband stated that he suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship with a neighbor.

Background Of The Accused

Ajay Singh, the son of Yogendra Singh, is originally a native of Ramwan village within the Radhanagar police station limits. He runs a readymade garment shop in Deviganj and was living with his family in a rented room in Jhaupur at the time of the incident.

Official Statement

Circle Officer Durgesh Deep confirmed the details of the case. He stated that the investigation has clarified that the accused harbored suspicions regarding his wife's fidelity, believing she was involved in an illicit relationship, which led him to commit the murder.
