Each hostel will have a capacity of 500 residents and will be equipped with modern facilities, including CCTV surveillance, security guards, fire safety equipment, a crèche, gym, auditorium, canteen, departmental store, laundry services, parking, and public transport access. Dedicated wardens, security staff, and housekeeping personnel will also be deployed as per Mission Shakti guidelines.

The project falls under the state’s Chief Minister Women’s Hostel Scheme, modelled on the Working Women’s Hostel Scheme run under the Centre’s Special Assistance Programme. Construction of similar hostels is already underway in Lucknow, Gautam Buddh Nagar, and Ghaziabad.
In the first phase, the state government has sanctioned Rs 170 crore for the hostels across seven districts. The Construction and Design Services (C&NDS) and the Rajkiya Nirman Nigam have been designated as implementing agencies. Estimates for the projects are awaited before work begins.
