The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls in Uttar Pradesh is gaining momentum, ensuring that every eligible voter is accurately registered ahead of upcoming elections. The distribution of the enumeration forms have reached 96.21 per cent of voters. The process of SIR began under the directive of the Election Commission of India as part of the intensive revision across assembly constituencies from January 1, 2026. The BLOs are distributing and collecting forms door to door.

Voters are required to fill in the enumeration form with details from the 2003 and 2025 voter lists. However, in various villages, details of a large number of voters' entire families are missing from the 2003 voter list.
