Residents are feeling the chill, particularly during the early hours and late evenings, when temperatures fall more sharply.
Uttar Pradesh Weather: Temperatures Likely To Fall Further In Next Two Days
Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that the next one to two days will be important in terms of weather changes. He noted that temperatures may dip further as westerly winds become more active. With the recent western disturbance weakening, icy winds from the northwest are now entering the plains, leading to a drop in temperature across Lucknow and nearby districts.
Uttar Pradesh Weather: Cold Spell To Ease After Brief Phase, Says Meteorologist
According to him, this cold spell is not expected to last for long. Conditions may settle within two to three days and major temperature changes are unlikely after that. However, the morning and night-time cold will continue for now. As temperatures fall in the evening, people are heading indoors earlier than usual.
Light To Moderate Fog Expected Over the Coming Week
On the matter of fog, experts say that dense fog is not likely at the moment. Increased humidity may affect visibility slightly, but the Meteorological Department expects light to moderate fog over the next five to six days. Light fog may be seen in the plains, while the Terai belt could experience moderate fog. This may cause minor delays in road and rail movement.
