Extreme Heat Forces Schedule Changes

Due to extreme heat in Tokyo, the organising committee and World Athletics moved the start times for all competitions on the first three days forward by half an hour. This year, Japan has experienced its hottest summer since records began in 1898. Priyanka Goswami had previously told Dainik Jagran that the high heat and humidity were making training difficult.

The 20th edition of the World Athletics Championships runs from September 13 to 21, featuring over 2,000 athletes from 200 countries competing in 49 events.
