The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced that its group housing plot scheme will conclude on October 28, with plot allotments through auction scheduled for November 28. The scheme covers plots in Sectors 17, 18, and 22D, and a minimum of three applications per plot is required for an auction to take place.

YEIDA’s previous group housing scheme saw limited participation, with only one bid submitted for 17 plots. The new scheme targets the remaining 16 plots, but interest remains subdued.

While YEIDA’s other plot schemes, such as the sale of 276 plots of 200 square metres, attracted more than 54,000 applications, group housing plots have not drawn similar enthusiasm due to stalled settlement, high property prices, and limited urban infrastructure in the area.

Encouraged by development projects such as the Noida International Airport, YEIDA resumed group housing allotments after a gap of around ten years. However, buyers’ interest in this category continues to lag behind expectations. The authority is working to address infrastructure gaps, but the results are yet to be visible.
