The BJP in Uttarakhand is finalising the teams for its 19 district-level units and will soon announce a new state-level team as well.

To form these district committees, the BJP State President, Mahendra Bhatt, and the General Secretary (Organisation), Ajay Kumar, have started discussions with party officials from all districts, except for those currently affected by natural disasters. On Tuesday, they began the final round of talks with district presidents, local MLAs, and other public representatives.

According to the party's State Media In-charge, Manveer Singh Chauhan, they are following instructions from the national leadership to ensure that all groups—including women, youth, SC-ST, and OBC communities—are fairly represented in every district committee. With an eye on "Mission 2027," the party is holding two days of meetings with everyone involved to build a winning team. After these meetings, the committees for all remaining districts will be announced.

Meanwhile, after a meeting at the state BJP office, State President Mahendra Bhatt said that the district committees will be formed in the next day or two, and the new state committee will be announced right after. This new team's first major task will be to manage the 'Seva Pakhwara' (a fortnight of service) events, which start on September 17th to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.

Commenting on a protest by the Congress party, Bhatt criticised them, saying that what happened on stage with Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav was an insult not only to the Prime Minister's late mother but to all women. He said that people across the country are angry because the Congress leadership has neither apologised nor admitted its mistake. He added that BJP workers were also hurt by this "disrespectful and malicious" incident, which is why they held a peaceful protest to make Congress realize its error.

Answering a question, Bhatt said that the Chief Minister (CM) has been informed about the five vacant minister positions in the Dhami cabinet and that the CM will make a decision on it soon. This cabinet expansion will be done with guidance from the BJP's national leaders. He also made it clear that the party will fight the 2027 state assembly elections under the leadership of CM Dhami and will aim for a "hat-trick" win.
