Viral Video: ‘Following the rules’ to survive in the wild also applies at the zoo while dealing WITH the wild. And that should surely go without saying. However, two zookeepers somehow failed to do the same, leading to a terrifying ‘face to face’ with a 34-year-old Silverback Gorilla inside the animal’s enclosure! Yes, let the sink in. The incident took place in Texas’ Forth Worth Zoo, where a gorilla charged at two zookeepers, a video of which is going viral on social media. The date of the incident could not be confirmed, but the reason behind the incident, as per media reports and the zoo itself, was ‘human error’. Meanwhile, some people pointed out that the animal hardly ‘charged’ towards the keepers and argued that it rather ran in confusion. 

As per reports, the zookeepers entered the giant's enclosure while being unaware of the gorilla’s presence, which led to the chaos. The keepers were surely lucky as the two managed to escape to safety without harm. The animal itself looked confused, as seen in the viral clip, whereas it let the two go at the end as it ran the opposite way. 

As soon as the clip went viral, most people blamed the zookeepers for being careless while working with wild animals. Some, on the other hand, expressed their relief over the workers’ safety. 

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘AmeraucanaLover’. The post was captioned, “So this just happened at the Forth Worth Zoo with 2 female zookeepers. This silverback gorilla's name is Elmo. This could have easily gone the other way, remember what happened to Harambe. I bet someone’s getting a demotion tomorrow, if not fired, after this.”

The video went viral and gained a variety of reactions. Many called the zookeepers lucky and some blamed them for the incident. The post was shared on March 08 and pulled thousands of views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “The gorilla was just as freaked out I mean, look at him running he's not charging them at all he's observing them and trying to figure out why they're in there,”  a user said. “Gosh. That poor gorilla is kept in jail so people can gawk at him.  And you expect him to not act like he is going stir crazy when he is?” said a second person. 

“I don't know who seemed more surprised...the gorilla or the human,” added another. “Gorilla be like- I am sick and tired of this afternoon meal! Don't you get it,” said a fourth person. “he NEITHER charges nor corners them.. he runs away from them and around them and watches them,” said a fifth user
