When a show hits streaming platforms, the type of editing it has used is not exactly the first thing that a person notices, unless one is a cinematographer. What we usually go for is, the cast, genre, acting, plot and other such factors that are obvious to a viewer. Due to this, we don't exactly understand the importance editing plays in a show or a movie for that matter. But our ignorance will not reduce its role. In fact, we unconsciously get familiar with the colour grading and filters of that particular show, somewhat connecting the filter with the show itself and the genre.
Something similar has been depicted by a cinematographer on social media, reminding us of the viral role that filters and editing play in creating a unique style for a particular show. A clip has been shared on an Instagram handle with the name 'moses.aurelius'.

The video with the caption "Which one is your favourite?", shows a man walking towards a foggy forest, however, the scene repeats quite a few times. Each time when the scene repeats, the man changes the filter used and displays the show's name that uses that particular colour palette. The very minute but vital factor becomes clearer as the man shows the changes side by side in one single video.
The video showed the difference between several classic and hit shows, instantly garnering fans' reactions and going viral. The netizens expressed their astonishment over such a tiny detail that can result in such a major change.
Flooding the comment box with their favourite shows, the netizens wrote the names of their preferred shows. "Ozark is the best one," a user wrote. "Color grading changes everything," commented a third user stressing the value of colour grading.
Apart from that, fans of the show 'Peaky Blinders', easily took over the post as comments lauding the show were all over the comment box, proving the popularity of the series among the mass.
