The fandom for cosplay has increased manyfold in the last few years, especially after the rise of the anime industry globally. But not every place is appropriate for a costume, especially if the attire is a bikini. An Instagram influencer, Kine-chan, was denied boarding a flight because of her inappropriate attire. The incident took place at the Navegantes Airport in Brazil where Kine-chan tried to enter wearing a black bikini with sandals.
Taking to her social media handle, the woman narrated the entire incident and also mentioned that she was dressed as the anime character Rebecca, who is a popular character from the anime web series ‘CyberPunk: Edgerunners’.
The post was captioned in the Portuguese language which roughly translated to, “Xuxus, a very boring situation happened this weekend! I tried to board the Seafarers Airport dressed as Rebecca's cosplay for an event. I knew I could be late so I got dressed so I didn't waste any time and get straight to my there. But I was instructed to go home and change clothes because what I was wearing was not "appropriate." Since I explained that I was going to an event. Finally Rebecca barrada hahaha.”

The post went viral, where most of the netizens found the influencer at fault as they believed that the attire was not appropriate for the airport.

Taking the comment section, the people shared their take. “Glad it was blocked right angel let's respect other people, warning, this is not a place to wear lingerie or bikini,” said a user. “Since your free to wear whatever you want likewise the airport too has every freedom to say No/reject whoever/whatever they deem not okay,” added a second person. “they were right, you could have put that clothes on there, they were sure, not going to let you board,” wrote a third person. “I love your job but that's kind of obvious, I don't consider bikini on a plane I think it's inappropriate,” commented a fourth. “she doesnt wear a coat/cape?” asked a fifth netizen.
