Boeing 737 Engine Rips Off: Passengers flying from Denver to Houston on a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 experienced a horrifying moment, when their flight’s engine ripped off during the takeoff, reminding them of the thriller film, ‘Final Destination’. A video of the petrifying moment was shared on social media, which was quick to raise another set of concerns and questions relating to the recent and repeated Boeing accidents. The incident reportedly took place on April 07, meanwhile, the flight then did an emergency landing at the Denver International Airport, after 25 minutes. The video went viral on social media and drew all kinds of reactions from people.

Reportedly, all the 150 passengers and 7 crew members deboarded the plane safely. Passengers also lauded the pilot for handling the situation. “People in the exit row across from me started yelling at the flight attendants and showing them the damage. We turned around and made a full-speed landing. The pilots did a great job on the landing,” a passenger was quoted as saying to ABC News.

Meanwhile, the airline apologised and scheduled another flight for Houston after three hours.

"Southwest Flight 3695 returned to Denver International Airport this morning and landed safely after experiencing a mechanical issue. Our customers will arrive at Houston Hobby on another aircraft, approximately three hours behind schedule. We apologise for the inconvenience of their delay, but place our highest priority on ultimate Safety for our Customers and Employees. Our Maintenance teams are reviewing the aircraft,” read a statement by Southwest Airlines.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘ImMeme0’. The post was captioned, “BREAKING: Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 engine rips apart during takeoff. A Southwest Airlines flight bound for Houston immediately returned to Denver. Maybe Boeing can spend less time on DEI and focus more on the safety of their aircraft and passengers.”

Taking to the comment section, netizens shared their views. “Pretty crazy how that Boeing whistleblower just magically ‘committed suicide’ right before the big trial and that’s already forgotten in the media. The American government and their corporate overlords are the worst criminal enterprise in human history,” a user said. “Boeing does not make the engines. Sounds like Southwest Airlines maintenance. Forgot to latch the cowling?” said a second person. “Looks more like a maintenance issue to me; could still be DEI though if SWA is into that,” wrote a third person.

“Another Boeing 737 debacle. When will the madness end? Passengers should never have to question if their flight will end in disaster. Boeing and the aviation industry must prioritise safety over profits. Lives are at stake!” added the next.

“I flew on a 737 Max 8 from Vancouver to LA recently when we were sitting waiting to disembark. I saw 2 employees on the ground talking.. one was pointing under the plane and the other one making the sign of the cross. I was like WTH is wrong under the plane,” wrote a fifth person.
