Viral Video: In another animal cruelty-related incident, a Meerut man made headlines for beating up stray dogs using a spiked bat. The incident, as per the viral post, took place on April 05, whereas the man was a resident of Rohta Road’s Nand Vihar area. Several clips, including CCTV footage of the man displaying the same cruelty on multiple strays, came forward. As soon as the video went viral, people gave a divided reaction.

Several people were completely against the man as they believed unnecessary cruelty against animals should be punished and the man should be in prison, while some recalled several dog attack-related incidents and supported the man for the cruelty.

The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘Arhant Shelby’. The post was later re-shared by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’, with the caption, “This is Animal Cruelty man.”

Taking to the comment section, people sharted their views. “Heartbreaking scenes, he should be jailed. There is no Humanity left,” a user said. “Actually you cannot judge the person hitting stray dogs without knowing the backstory maybe the dogs were a threat to the kids or elders. If this is the case here then these dogs deserved it And if the situation is the opposite then this man should be arrested ASAP,” wrote a second person.

“In my street 10 dogs not allowing us to move around freely... Every day we have to live like we are entering a forest,” added a third person. “Stray dogs are an actual problem but this is not the way to deal with it.
