If the phrase ‘the man had his priorities set’ could be dedicated to someone, it would surely be this thief in Goa who it seemed had a clear mind about what he wanted; a plate of mouth-watering pav bhaji. Because if that is not the case, then what exactly compelled him to exchange a stolen iPhone for the said pav bhaji, is something that is beyond our understanding. Believe it or not, but in a hilarious incident that was shared on social media, a thief went for pav bhaji, in exchange for an iPhone. The story was narrated by the victim, the owner of the stolen iPhone, who eventually got his phone back from the pav bhaji shop owner.
As per the post, which is now going viral, the victim was drunk when the said thief stole his phone, who was ALSO drunk. Imagine that! The phone, as per the post, was discharged after getting stolen and was switched off for 36 hours. It was the shop owner who then charged it and picked the call up so that the phone could be returned to the original owner. The victim further shared that he traveled almost 60 km to a ‘random’ location, in order to retrieve his phone.
The post was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the user ‘KartikeyaRai11’. The post was captioned, “A drunk dude pickpocketed my phone in Goa (I was equally drunk) The drunk dude then got very hungry and went to eat bhaji pao in a small shop but he had no money to pay for it so he took out the red iPhone and tried to trade that for the bhaji pao, the owner took the phone from the thief and charged it and picked up our call after 36 hours of phone being lost and switched off. And he was sweet enough to give it back to us(we had to drive 60 km to a random location outside the Goa city).”

The post has been circulating ever since it was shared on social media platforms. Most people found the incident hilarious and shared jokes on the same, while some dubbed the victim ‘lucky’ as he got his phone back. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 50K likes from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Why do you all write pao bhaji as bhaji pao tho,” a user asked an off-the-context question. “I'm sorry I was very hungry,” said a second user. “Now that's a story for the grandchildren,” added a third person. “Yooo I think you should see if they did something to the phone,” said a fourth user.
“It seems like the thief had no intention to steal the phone, he just wanted to steal something so that he could trade it later. Also, it's funny that a drunk thief stole from a drunk victim. Funny story,” added a fifth person.
“I understand that until you did not get your phone back, the situation must have been extremely serious and problematic, but it still sounds too funny. Like what? Drunk thief, drunk man, iPhone in exchange for pav bhaji? What,” wrote a seventh user.
