100 Worst-Rated Foods In The World: From the ‘popular’ Karela, also known as Bitter Melon to Tinda (Apple Ground), there is almost a similar list of vegetables that every Indian can name if asked about the vegetable that they hate the most. One among these veggies is a complex one, as it might be hated for being ‘basic’, but turns into one of the best if cooked with a twist; Bringal. Yes, Brinjal or Baingan, might be a ‘no-no’ for many, but it takes no time in turning into a loved one if cooked as ‘Baingan bharta’. Now, you might be wondering why we are targeting these poor vegetables all of a sudden. Well, it turned out that not just us, but a whole lot of India did the same to the ‘humble’ Brinjal.
Indian Dish That Secured 60th Spot On ‘Top 100 Worst-Rated Foods In The World’ List:
Taste Atlas, a popular food portal, recently released the ‘top 100 worst-rated foods in the world’ list, and guess who ended up securing a spot on it- Aloo Baingan. The ‘poor’ dish, which might have helped countless hungry bellies in Indian households, despite the ‘negative rating’, bagged the 60th spot in the list.

On the first spot, we have Hákarl from Iceland, followed by US’ Ramen Burger (we don’t ever want to know about the kind of food combination this was). Israel’s Yerushalmi Kugel took the third spot and the fourth was secured by Sweden's Kalvsylta. Latvia’s Sklandrausis was in the fifth spot and Chile’s Chapalele in seventh, followed by Sweden’s Calskrove. Spain’s Bocadillo de carne de caballo was next, followed by Marmite and Chip Sandwich from New Zealand. On the last spot, we had Ryynimakkara from Finland.
