Viral Video: An otherwise concerning situation like ‘overcrowding’, is unfortunately quite common for most places in India. From markets, metro stations and railway stations to malls, tourist destinations and even weddings, you name it, and desis have seen it all. But amid all cities, there is this one city that is somewhat on top, to the point where overcrowding has turned into stampede-like situations quite a few times. If you already haven’t guessed it, we are hinting towards the crowd that Mumbai and its Mumbai Local Trains assist daily.
Proving the above further correct, a video came forward, where a stampede-like situation was seemingly created as women passengers tried to board the Mumbai local train. A video of the same was shared online, which went viral almost instantly. As per the post, the incident unfolded at the Kalyan Junction. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.
The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘wekalyankar’. The post was captioned, “Every Day a New Wave At Kalyan Junction.”

The video was shared 3 days ago and pulled more than 13K likes from people. Most people found the incident ‘common’ for passengers of the Mumbai Local Train, while the rest expressed concerns over the safety of the women in the clip. Many also suggested stricter rules to control such crowding issues.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Kalyan is fine but the ladies of Dombivli push so hard that they go straight out of the door. Humanity has died in some people,” a user said. “That’s when you turn around walk up to the main bridge and wait for another train,” added a second person.
“Everyone is fighting amongst badlapur is right or Kalyan is right. Let me tell you Kalyan population's not even 1/2 of people are kalyankars, more than half of Kalyan people are immigrants from north-south who couldn't settle in Mumbai,” added a third user. “Problem will be solved if there is a line to board the train,” commented a fourth user.
