Consider yourself lucky if you have never faced any unnecessary cancellations from your online cab or auto drivers despite waiting for minutes for them to come. In fact, you might very well be God's one of the favourite children if the situation sounds unfamiliar to you. As for the rest of the world, cab or such online vehicle cancellation is one of the most irritating things that usually happens the most when time is of the essence. Pointing out the same, a LinkedIn user took to her social media and narrated her ordeal, as per which her 5th Uber driver cancelled the cab after making her wait for 5 minutes. Calling out the same practice, the woman raised a ‘well-thought-out’ demand of providing a ‘Patience Fee’ from Uber to customers during such situations.

To back her demand, the woman also recalled the ‘cancellation fee’ that customers often pay after cancelling an online ride.

The post was quick to get reactions from people as a majority agreed with the woman. Many even recalled their own similar instances where they faced a delay because of multiple cancellations.

The LinkedIn post was shared on LinkedIn, by the handle ‘Yukti Gaur’. The post was captioned, “I don't get it. If I cancel Uber I pay a cancellation fee. And now this is the 5th time a cab driver has cancelled my trip. For making me wait an average of 5 min for each. Why isn't Uber paying me a Patience fee?” The post was shared three days ago and pulled more than 11K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “If there was a fee like that in existence I would've been a millionaire by now,” a user said. “With a lot of unfortunate incidents happening with travellers, they should also have an Incident fee,” added a second person. “That will be adjusted in the next coupon code,” added another.

“Totally valid point. It has happened to me multiple times, especially at the railway stations, where the driver reaches the station to pick me up, and cancels the ride after making me wait for like 10 minutes or so as they got another offline ride for a higher price, and I've seen them leaving right in front of my eyes, it's so frustrating!” added another.
