Viral Video: A disturbing old video recently resurfaced on social media, and went viral almost immediately. The video, which was reportedly from Spain’s Valencia, was of a man who was trying to drown a woman in a public fountain, by forcibly keeping her head inside the water. Reportedly, the 52-year-old man resorted to such violence after he thought that the victim was in on a joint conspiracy after another man ran away with the accuser's phone. As soon as people around the duo noticed what was going on, a few people jumped in to help the woman.

The exact date of the incident could not be confirmed, but the incident, as per reports, took place a while back. The man was later reportedly arrested by authorities.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘crazyclipsonly’. The pot was captioned, “Man tries to drown a woman in a public fountain.”

The old video has been doing rounds on social media, ever since it was reshared. Most people chastised the man’s behaviour, while the rest raised questions on the woman for not trying to fight back. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 30M views from people.

Taking to the comment box, people shared their take. “That bro in red played the good Samaritan role perfectly,” a user said. “He's hurting her and it doesn't look like she's fighting back, thank God for those concerned citizens who came to her rescue. He should be issued a restraining order,” a second person said. “Why did ol boy throw a few punches, leave, then come back for more?! I have so many questions!” added a third person.

“It's good somebody dared to go to the rescue. How often do people see abuse and just walk away like nothing happened?” commented a fourth person. “The woman looks vulnerable to him. Thanks to the man who came up to her rescue,” said a fifth person. “But why was the woman not fighting back?? The whole time, her hands weren't making any attempt to free herself from that mønster,” said a sixth person.
