Viral Video: In recent years, clashes between school teachers and parents have witnessed a drastic rise. Social media is full of reports where either the teacher lost their cool or parents crossed limits while dealing with teachers. Exemplifying something similar, a video from Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi came forward, where an ugly fight erupted between a government school teacher and some parents. The said video was being recorded by the parent, who was seen lashing out at the teacher for her behaviour with a female student.

However, as the argument gradually increased, both parties began to throw hands, resulting in a brutal physical fight. The date of the incident could not be confirmed. However, as the incident unfolded, not a single school staff member came forward or interviewed, as seen in the clip. Towards the end of the video, the teacher was seemingly angry and somewhat lost, as she began to leave the school premises after throwing school bags and other stationary materials. The said video left people divided, as some took the teacher’s side and some opposed her. A majority of the people, however, chastised the crowd for their behaviour with the teacher.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Info_4Education’. The post was captioned in Hindi, which roughly translated to “The viral video is of a council school in Bhadohi district, in which guardians and children are seen fighting with a female in-charge teacher. It is worth noticing that no colleague of the school comes to intervene. Whatever the matter may be, such insensitivity towards a female teacher is definitely painful.”

As the video went viral, it came to the notice of the police, who responded to the clip. “The matter is related to the education department. Further legal action will be taken upon receipt of a complaint regarding the allegation of indecency,” read the comment by Bhadohi Police.

The video, ever since it was shared on social media, has been doing rounds on the internet, dividing people. Most sided with the teacher and blamed students and parents for creating chaos, while the rest blamed the teacher for throwing hands at the student. The video was shared yesterday and pulled 411K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Please take your own actions and take action. In such a situation, if the teacher gets scared then how will he teach? No one can enter the school and commit indecency,” a user said. “In Bhadohi, parents come to school and create scenes on every small issue,” a second person said.

“The person who is speaking while making the video has deliberately created a ruckus because someone he knows is in the BSA office. Looking at the video, it seems that they have come with advance planning and have trained all the parents and children so that the teacher can /Action can be taken against the person in charge,” wrote a third person.

“I don't know why teachers slap children etc. to improve them, only parents have this right, even if they kick them 10 times. But the teachers also remain worried so that the kids do not get spoilt. Let the children go astray, who are they, let the children get ruined, let them do 10 to 3 jobs, let them educate them, whether the children study or not,” said another.
