With India being the world’s ‘biggest democracy’, as per many, its upcoming Lok Sabha elections are currently the most intriguing ‘talk of the politics town’. The LS Polls 2024 are scheduled to hit off tomorrow, April 19, where the voting for 102 LS seats from 21 Indian states and UTs will be held in what is supposed to be the first phase of polls. With hardly half the day left for the polls to begin, the government officials working on election preparations are probably the busiest.

Amid all this, the social media handle of Madhya Pradesh's Chief Electoral Officer shared a few pictures of some polling officers, among which, one of them turned into an internet sensation for voters. The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘CEOMPElections’, with a caption in Hindi that roughly translated to, “Lok Sabha Elections - 2024. Steps on the path of duty. Let's go to vote...Voting personnel left for election duty in Chhindwara district.”

Check out the viral post:

As soon as the post began to float online, voters joined in as they expressed their evident admiration for the female polling officer. Reportedly, the officer in question was Sushila Kanesh. As per reports, Kanesh is the MP state government’s Assistant Grade-3 officer. She is reportedly posted at Chhindwara’s Supply Branch.

The said pictures were clicked in front of some government duty-bound buses that were being prepared for tomorrow’s voting. Amid all the reactions and comments, an internet user’s comment especially gained attention, as the user jokingly requested the Election Commission of India to let him vote from ‘her booth’.
