Mostly, any kind of assault against an Army Officer is unacceptable by people for more reasons than one. But every once in a while, such a case arises that even the unthinkable exceptions are made, and this case exemplifies that. A man, sulking in his own guild, took to social media to share an incident that unfolded on a metro. The young man was travelling in Delhi with his friends, where it was revealed that one of the uniformed men sitting beside the group was taking pictures of the man’s female friend donning a dress. Immediately jumping into action, the narrator grabbed the phone to confirm his suspicions and ended up finding pictures of the girl and her zoomed-in legs. Losing his temper, the man slapped the uniformed man in his 40s, gaining his co-passengers' attention. As soon as the matter was revealed to others, most people suggested that he should file a formal complaint instead of taking matters into his own hands. However, the young man was facing his own guild as he started comparing the uniformed man’s age with his own father’s age and profession, after which he took to the internet asking for suggestions and advice over his quick loss of temper and actions.

The post was shared on Reddit by user ‘Anshulbansal786’, with the title ‘Help!! The guilt of slapping an army officer is killing me.” The man further described the incident in the description.

The post went viral as people filled its comment box with their reactions and suggestions. Most people agreed with the man’s actions and assured him that he did nothing wrong as a criminal is an offender regardless of their job or age. Many also crossed questions on the man’s conclusion about the fact that the accused was actually an Army Officer. Many netizens also asked him to not compare the man’s actions with his own father. The post was shared two days ago and pulled 252 upvotes.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Op you slapped a man in his 40s for what he did (totally unacceptable) then you felt guilty and you decided not to file an official complaint. You taught him a lesson without damaging his whole life. I would say you did the best combination of things with no one suffering for life. Good job. Now forget about it and relax. I'm kinda proud of you,” a user said. “Bro it's very kind of you to think that way but you just saved a lot of girls from this harassment. You did the bare minimum because the consequences of his actions would have been worse if you had decided to file a complaint against him instead of just a slap. I hope he learned a lesson there,” added a second. “Being in the Army doesn't give you license for being a creep. You should've gone with punches, in addition to a slap,” said a third person. “Are you sure he was an officer? What was his rank?” asked a fourth person. “Age and respect don’t go hand in hand. Your father won’t be taking inappropriate pictures of girls, will he? So, why imagine him? You did the right thing. Don’t let it get you,” said a fifth person.
