Shahzaib Rindh Viral Video: Pakistan’s wushu fighter Shahzaib Rindh won everyone on both sides of the border, for his wholesome gesture of prioritising peace and harmony. Fighting against India’s Rana Singh at the Karate Combat match in Dubai on April 20, Rindh clinched the victory with a final score of 2-1. However, it was the moment after the match which made the fighter everyone's favourite in India as well. Along with carrying his country’s flag, Rindh also carried India’s national fag with him to the stage, and stressed the importance of unity among people and its beautiful outcome.
Rindh also gave a heartfelt address after the match, which was more than enough to melt netizens. “This fight was for peace. We are not enemies, we are together. Together we can do anything. This fight is for Pakistan and India's friendship and being closer,” he was heard saying on the stage. A video of the same instantly went viral on the internet, gaining all kinds of reactions from people, where a majority expressed their support for Rindh.
The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘ScoopWhoop’. It was captioned, “Following his triumph over an Indian opponent at Karate Combat #KC45 in Dubai, Pakistani fighter @RindhShahzaib made a beautiful gesture, celebrating Pakistan's 2-1 victory over India in the team competition.”

Many were proud of the athlete’s thinking, while the rest praised his gesture. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 58K likes from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Half the people praising him here would be so upset if he was Indian lol,” a user said. “United by love and brotherhood. Divided by Dirty Politics by Politicians,” commented a second user. “Bro is from the Coke studio comment section,” added a fourth user. “Reminded me of Rocky IV where Rocky Balboa gives a moving speech at the end of his fight with Ivan Drago,” added a fifth person.
“He was up and he chose to be humble, signs of greatness,” added a sixth user. “I feel the current Pakistani generation is much more sensible and educated than their elders and ancestors,” wrote a seventh person. “He won, in all senses of the word,” commented another. “I have seen many videos in which Pakistani people treat Indian people who had gone to visit Pakistan with love and kindness and treat them as they are one of their kind and vice versa,” added another.
