SETTING bait for rats is a common practice done in several houses to get rid of them. This practice is not only helpful but also works 99 per cent of the time. But what if that rat is smart enough to get away with the food without getting trapped? Sounds like an episode of Tom and Jerry where Jerry would take away the cheese from right under Tom's nose.
In a quite similar way, a rat was captured taking away the food from the trap which was actually set up to catch it. Also, it was smart enough to use a stick to do the same.
The post was shared by a Twitter user, Wall Street Silver with the caption, "To hell with Artificial Intelligence learning how to take over. If the rats are using tools now, we are really phucked. Introducing RatGPT."

The video shows a rat looking closely at the rat trap. It then goes and brings a stick that activates the trap, which later flips. The food then falls out and the rat picks up and runs away.
The video was shared on April 20 and has amassed over 4 million views so far. The netizens also reacted to the video. While some shared their own experience, others were impressed with the rat's smartness.

"This is exactly why I rehomed the rats in my attic instead of killing them, I have a difficult time wanting to kill smart creatures. 2 rats came back to rescue one of the rats in my live trap by acting as counter balance and unlatching the fulcrum," wrote a user. A second user said, "Everybody is stepping up their game these days!" A third commented, "So cool! The world is evolving. We are seeing many animals evolve!" Another remarked, "Looks like our furry friends are preparing for a rat race to the top. Good luck keeping up with them!"
