Viral Video: In a much-needed move against the increasing incidents of ticketless passengers travelling in AC coaches, the Railway Police Force (RPF) reportedly in Bihar, won people over with their sudden ‘justice’. Finally taking some action against such offenders, the police ended up busting the ticketless passengers at the Kiul Railway Station. A video of the offender being taken out of the train was shared online, which went viral and left people ‘satisfied’.

Apart from the arrest itself, what caught people’s attention was the way the passengers were being taken away. Coming up with a unique method, the police gathered the offenders inside a ‘fence’ that was created out of a rope. Yes, that happened. Recently, cases relating to ticketless passengers wreaking havoc on Indian Railways’ trains are rapidly making it into the headlines.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Lakhisaray’. The post was captioned, “Kiul RPF took action against those traveling in AC bogie without a ticket, dozens of people were caught @RPF_INDIA @rpfecrdnr @rpfecr @RPFKiul @ECRlyHJP @RailwaySeva @RailMinIndia.”

The video, soon after being shared, became a hit on the internet as most people dubbed it ‘justified’ and a ‘needed move’. Many also suggested other trains and states where such an action is needed. The post was shared two days ago and pulled 14K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, netizens shared their take. “Almost everyone must have a general ticket. But the railways do this to save its reputation. If people get seats in general coaches, why would they go to AC coaches? The railways should increase the number of general coaches. Due to less number of general coaches, there is a collision between AC and sleeper coaches, which causes a lot of trouble to people,” a user said.

“Similar action should be taken in Gaya Howrah Express (13024) as well. Out of helplessness, we have now stopped travelling in this train because, despite several complaints, neither the RPF nor the railway administration takes any action,” wrote a second person. “RPF saved their lives before people would have done justice themselves to these cheats,” commented a third.
