Viral Reddit Post: A horrifying explosion near one of Delhi’s busiest landmarks has left the nation in shock. On Monday, November 10, a car blew up outside Gate No.1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, claiming at least 12 lives and injuring many more. The blast occurred at 6:52 PM in a slow-moving vehicle that had stopped at a red light. Tragically, nearby cars also caught fire, adding to the chaos and panic that gripped the area.
Amid the chaos, a Delhi man shared a chilling firsthand account of how he narrowly escaped the tragedy. According to him, he was just 300 to 400 meters away from the blast when it happened. The explosion was so sudden that he ran instinctively, injuring his leg in the process. Sharing a photo of his bandaged leg, he admitted he wasn’t even sure if it was a sprain or a fracture.
Reflecting on the near-death experience, he wrote about how unpredictable life can be and urged everyone to cherish their loved ones. “Thanking God I'm alive,” he wrote. “I was 300-400 meters away when the blast happened, went to an event at the Red Fort. Heard the explosion, ran without thinking, and got injured when I took a leap in the chaos. Don't even know if it's a sprain or a fracture yet. I keep thinking how close I was. Life is so unpredictable. You never know what's going to happen in the next moment. Thanking God I'm alive. Please stay safe, Delhi. Hug your loved ones. RIP to those we lost today.”
