Vivek Express Viral Video: A shocking video of a train journey is going viral and it’s not for the views outside the window, but for the mess inside the train. Travel vlogger Ujjwal Singh recently shared a video of his experience on the Vivek Express, one of India’s longest train routes that runs from Kanyakumari to Dibrugarh. But instead of praising the journey, he called it “India ki sabse gandi train – Vivek Express.” The clip, posted on Instagram, has now started a big conversation about train cleanliness and the need for regular maintenance by Indian Railways.
In the video, Ujjwal welcomes viewers by saying, “Swagat hai India ki sabse gandi train par, yaani dirty train ke andar. Yeh India ki longest train bhihai – Kanyakumari se lekar Dibrugarh tak. Issezyadagandi train maineaajtaknahidekhi...” He says the train is so dirty, it feels like no cleaning is done during the entire three-day journey. The viral video shows trash on the floors, dirty berths, broken taps, and passengers dealing with unhygienic conditions. At one point, Ujjwal even covers his nose, hinting at how bad the smell was.
He ends the video with an emotional message, “Dear Indian Railways, I feel like crying since I love Indian Railways, and I feel bad capturing this. Hope to see a better Indian Railways for common people. Thank you for your consideration. Regards, Ujjwal Singh.” The video has divided the internet, while many are angry at the poor condition of the train, others say both the Railways and passengers need to do better.

The video shared a while ago received many comments from Instagram users. "This is what we Indians deserve because we don't vote for development, we vote on emotions," a user wrote. "Is desh me netao ko vote dharmkenampe vote miltahaina ki kaamkenampe," a second user added. "Based on my experience, I would mention that it's partially the government's fault, because cleaning staff is only available in AC coaches, and also it's the fault of people, who have a habit of not using the dustbin," added a third user.
"It's a joint venture between railways and passengers. Passengers make it dirty. Railways won't clean it; cleanliness is not a habit. Neither for railways nor for passengers," added a fourth user. "In other countries, trains are spotless, but in India, it's like a war of Surviving time due to bad maintenance and hygiene, and also the behaviour of the public," added another user. "I can smell it from here, my god. I hate this about our country so much! Civic sense should be a national emergency," wrote another user.
