If only criminals and miscreates used their ‘smarty tactics’ to make a living, they probably would have been known geniuses with respectable profiles. But no, most clever wrongdoers choose to work from the ‘shadows’, resulting in bizarre incidents going viral and leaving people impressively horrified with how far one’s ‘creativity' can go. Falling victim to such ‘creativity’, a US woman recently made headlines after her ordinary day at work turned into a full-fledged ‘action movie’. The woman, an Uber Eats driver in New Jersey, was out for a delivery after picking up an order reportedly from a location in Camden County’s Lindenwold. As per what the woman was informed, the order had a burrito, a soup, and a water bottle- or did it?

Halfway through her destination, the woman reportedly began to suspect the tin foil-wrapped burrito after she noticed a funny smell. Rushing into action after recognising the small, the woman contacted the police. The police were quick to reach the spot, after which they began to inspect the package. Turned out, there was no burrito to begin with, it was instead marijuana packed inside a plastic bag, wrapped inside the said tin foil.

“She believed something didn’t smell right with her delivery package. She thought it smelled like marijuana,” Washington Township Police Chief Patrick Gurcsik was quoted as saying to 6 ABC. “There was no meat, or lettuce or beans or rice. It was actually an ounce of marijuana,” he was further quoted as saying. Pictures of the bag were later shared by the Washington Township Police, which went viral. The entire incident also ended up dominating the headlines.

For those unaware, Uber reportedly ‘does not allow’ delivery for ‘medication, alcohol, and other illegal substances’. However, this was not the first time that something like this happened, as the Washington Township police reportedly experienced something similar a while back, as per the New York Post.

Speaking on the matter, the spokesperson of Uber dubbed the incident ‘deeply disturbing’. The spokesperson also alerted other drivers over similar incidents.
