Viral Video: There are people, then there are snake lovers, and then there are Floridians and Australians. With time, the last two have shown some of the most ‘inhuman’ acceptance towards reptiles and deadly animals around them. Social media is full of videos where either there is a ‘Florida’ Man running behind these reptiles for a click, or there is an Australian casually sharing a house with a python or a deadly snake. And it is not at all surprising that a similar incident from Australia recently joined the list. In a horrifying discovery, a family found a venomous snake under their Christmas tree. A video of the rescue mission of the same was shared online, which went viral.

The video was shared on the social media site YouTube, by the handle ‘Hervey Bay Snake Catchers’. The post was captioned, “Eastern Brown Snake Under a Christmas Tree.”

The video, soon after being shared, went viral as it left half the internet terrified. Most people called it one of the scariest situations to be in, while others commented on Australia and its increasing number of snake-related incidents. Many also expressed their fear of snakes. The video was shared two days ago and pulled thousands of views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “I saw a large, bright Orange Eastern Brown in the Rockhampton Botanical Gardens...the old one with the zoo. It was about 1.2 meters long and was trying to hide in the base of a spiny palm. I have a photo somewhere. This is the first time I've seen another as bright as the one I saw,” a user said. “Yep time for making a brand new Christmas,” joined a second. “That could have been a tragedy in the making,” said another. 

“Are all Aussies this nonchalant about having a highly venomous snake show up under their Christmas tree?? If that happened in my house, I might just burn the place down and start over somewhere else.... like Antarctica,” said the next.
