Akhil Patel Viral News: It was just another regular day for Akhil Patel, until it turned unforgettable. The Indian-origin entrepreneur from London, who runs a small tea business called Amala Chai, ended up serving hot masala tea to none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent UK visit. The heartwarming moment went viral after PM Modi posted two pictures on social media. In one, he’s seen smiling with a cup of tea, and in the other, Patel is captured mid-pour, offering the fresh brew. Sharing the photos, PM Modi wrote, “‘Chai PeCharcha’ with PM Keir Starmer at Chequers... brewing stronger India-UK ties!”

But what truly stole the show was a short video where Patel says with a cheeky smile, “from one chaiwala to another”, while serving the steaming cup to PM Modi. That single line won hearts online and quickly made headlines.

So, Who Is Akhil Patel?

Akhil was born and raised in the UK and studied at University College School in Hampstead. He later attended the esteemed London School of Economics (LSE) to pursue a degree in management. He began his career as a data analyst before deciding to start Amala Chai in 2019 to follow his passion and his grandmother's love of chai.

His company sources authentic tea leaves and spices directly from small family farms in Assam and Kerala, as mentioned on their official LinkedIn page. In fact, Amala Chai was recently featured in a video by the British Museum, showcasing how they bring authentic Indian flavors to the UK.

Though Patel stayed quiet on his personal accounts, he did post a short clip on Amala Chai’s Instagram page. The caption read, "Just a casual Thursday serving chai for @narendramodi @keirstarmer What a crazy day! Beyond honoured. We’ll be sharing the full story with you next week, so keep your eyes peeled!”
