The idea of dating differs from person to person. Some people are a sucker for overly romantic relationships whereas some, find romance as clingy. It, of course, has less to do with 'love' and is more about how a person prefers to express their feelings for their partner.
Amid all this, one thing that is usually always present in almost every bond, is the love for the 'small things'. Small things and gestures are the ones that actually keep a bond alive. But what if someone is not a fan of those 'smaller things'? What if someone's love language is all about the 'bigger steps'? Well, something similar surfaced on social media, which soon left the netizens confused and disagreed.
Sharing his sad experience with a then-possible date, a man posted a screenshot of a chat on social media. The post was shared on the Reddit handle with the name 'Zhinii1'. The post was captioned as "I guess ice cream dates are considered a terrible idea nowadays".

In the screenshot, the man shared the texts that were exchanged between him and a woman, where the man was seen asking the woman for an 'ice cream date'. However, turning down the date idea, the woman then mentioned her age and hinted towards looking for something serious.
This reply left the man thinking of the possibility of 'ice cream dates' not being good enough in today's age. But as soon as the post surfaced online, the netizens come in and expressed their support towards the idea.
The comment box was all about people appreciating the idea and recalling their 'ice cream dates' and alike ideas of dates that they really loved. "I would get ice cream w you (I am a dude tho but we can talk about dude stuff)" a user commented.
"Went out for an ice-cream with the lads after we had a tennis match. Never too old for ice-cream," added another user. "Someone who can't enjoy the little things in life. That's sad," said a third user, while appreciating the smaller things in life.
