Imagine travelling from Delhi to the United States in less than an hour, what once seemed like science fiction could soon become a reality.  The ambitious aerospace company, led by Elon Musk, is exploring groundbreaking possibilities in high-speed, point-to-point space travel. Musk envisions a future where rockets, typically reserved for space missions, could also revolutionise global transportation by making intercontinental journeys as quick as a daily commute.

While it might sound unbelievable or far-fetched, the idea of travelling between continents in mere minutes captured widespread attention on social media, thanks to a response from Elon Musk himself. The buzz began when a user shared a video showcasing the ‘Earth-to-Earth’ concept on X. The video illustrated how SpaceX's revolutionary spacecraft could achieve this ambitious vision, igniting discussions about the future of travel.

A user on X wrote, "Under Trump's FAA, @SpaceX could even get Starship Earth to Earth approved in a few years — taking people from any city to any other city on Earth in under one hour," to which Elon Musk replied, "This is now possible."

Starship Promises Global Travel In Under An Hour

SpaceX's Starship envisioned nearly a decade ago, aims to revolutionise travel by transporting up to 1,000 passengers on suborbital flights between cities. Instead of deep-space missions, the rocket would fly parallel to Earth's surface, drastically reducing travel times. According to a Daily Mail report, Starship could cover routes like Los Angeles to Toronto in 24 minutes, London to New York in 29 minutes, Delhi to San Francisco in 30 minutes, and New York to Shanghai in 39 minutes.

Soon, people started responding to Musk's statement. A user wrote, “This is our golden age. Because of Trump's victory, it is more likely than ever that we'll make it to Mars.” While another said, “You, bet, so many applications for Starship await. America is on the verge of greatness again.”

Speculation about Elon Musk's next move intensified after he became a close ally of US President-elect Donald Trump, even earning an "uncle" status within Trump's family. Musk, the world's richest man, supported Trump's 2024 campaign with significant financial contributions and public appearances, solidifying his influence in Trump's inner circle.
