The ongoing war involving Iran widened its targets to civilian infrastructure across the Gulf region, killing two foreign residents, including one Indian and one Bangladeshi. As per Saudi Arabia, a military projectile struck a residential area, killing the two residents and injuring 12 others.
The conflict reportedly intensified on its ninth day as Iranian strikes continued across Gulf nations. Bahrain accused Iran of damaging a desalination plant vital for drinking water supplies, raising fears over attacks on critical civilian infrastructure.

Meanwhile, oil depots in Tehran were left burning after overnight strikes blamed on Israel, prompting environmental warnings for residents due to toxic smoke and possible air pollution, reported AP.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian vowed to intensify military retaliation against US interests in the region, warning that pressure on Iran would only strengthen its response.
The war, launched by airstrikes from Israel and the United States on Feb 28 that killed Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, has already caused heavy casualties. Officials say at least 1,230 people have been killed in Iran, 397 in Lebanon and 11 in Israel so far.
The escalating conflict has also displaced hundreds of thousands in Lebanon following intensified Israeli strikes against the Iran-backed group Hezbollah, further widening the regional crisis.
