Israel carried out a series of airstrikes on Gaza on Sunday, leading to at least 87 individuals being reported dead or missing, as stated by the Health Ministry in Gaza. The ministry reported that an additional 40 people were injured in the attacks on Beit Lahiya, one of the initial targets of Israel's ground invasion nearly a year ago.

The Israeli military has not provided an immediate response to the strikes but stated that it is 'continuing to operate throughout Gaza through both aerial strikes and ground operations'.

Israel's overnight raid targeted multiple homes and a multi-story residential building known as the Beit Lahiya Project, according to the Gaza Government Media Office. The Israeli military indicated that they were investigating the report. Officials in Gaza reported last night that 73 individuals had died in the airstrikes, while Israel previously stated that these figures were 'exaggerated' but did not provide further details.

Intensified Israeli Airstrikes Hit Kamal Adwan Hospital In Gaza

Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, has also experienced heavy bombing by Israeli forces. Israeli officials allege that Hamas has constructed command centres beneath hospitals and other civilian facilities, a claim that Hamas denies. The recent Israeli strike on the Kamal Adwan hospital occurred during a period of intensified air and artillery attacks that have targeted northern Gaza, particularly Jabalia, over the past two weeks.

Israel instructed the entire population of northern Gaza, including Gaza City, to evacuate to the south during the initial weeks of the war and reiterated those orders earlier this month.
