United States President Donald Trump is facing fresh criticism on social media after a video showed him interrupting Queen Camilla during a formal greeting event at the White House. The footage has gone viral on social media, where many users have criticised Trump’s actions as “disrespectful.” The incident took place during the visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the US.

What Happened In The Video?

In the video, Queen Camilla is seen greeting members of the US administration and shaking hands one by one. However, Trump suddenly stepped in front of her while she was in the middle of the line. He then began greeting officials himself, taking over the interaction. Camilla, who was moving steadily down the receiving line on the South Lawn, appeared to pause as Trump moved ahead of her.

She remained slightly behind while Trump continued greeting officials, including senior members of his cabinet such as Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth. The visit of the British Royals to the US is a four-day trip marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It is also the first visit by a British monarch in two decades.

As the video went viral, netizens reacted strongly on social media, criticising Trump’s action. A user said, “Trump is so disrespectful. He literally cut in front of Queen Camilla while she was shaking hands. Every day is another embarrassment for our country.” Another user wrote, “I am a big Trump supporter. However, that does seem a little rude. As we all know Trump can sometimes do stuff which the MAGA base does not condone.”

A third user added, “He shows how stupid he is. His cabinet is lined up to shake hands with the King and Queen, not with him. They see him constantly. Why is he even shaking hands with them at this time?"
