The King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital was attacked again on Saturday amid ongoing conflict with Yemen's rebel group, the Houthis. According to news agency AP, a missile struck a passenger terminal at the Riyadh airport, leaving several people injured. The air services have been temporarily suspended following the attack.
There was no immediate reaction from the Houthis. A Riyadh resident, Ahmed Sayed, said he heard at least two loud explosions that rocked the capital.

The airport was evacuated after the explosion was heard. The attack came two days after three Saudi citizens, including a pilot, were killed as the kingdom faces an extraordinary series of assaults on the new front in the Iran war.

Air Traffic In Riyadh Affected
The authorities halted air traffic to the Riyadh airport after the attack. The officials on condition of anonymity has confirmed the attack. At least 225 flights at the airport had been cancelled over the past 24 hours, according to flight-tracking site FlightAware.

The attack resulted in a number of injuries, which are currently being assessed, the statement said. The GACA clarified that airport operations have been temporarily suspended pending the completion of damage assessments and safety inspections of airport facilities, in coordination with relevant authorities, it added.
Fighting in Yemen between the Houthis and the Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces has escalated, with the Saudi-led coalition providing air support for government forces in an attempt to reverse recent Houthi gains along the Red Sea.
