Haval’s Plan To Enter India: Why It Failed?
As informed earlier, Haval had a plan to enter the Indian market, and the brand showcased its vehicles at the Auto Expo 2020. Now, it has been 5 years, but the brand has not yet entered the country. Several factors can be attributed to the brand's failure to enter India. In June 2020, India-China geopolitical tensions began to rise due to the Galwan Valley incident. As per several reports, the GWM failed to secure the government approvals for its planned 1 billion dollar investment in the country, and the term sheet for the GWM Talegaon plant expired in June 2022.
