Audi Q8 e-tron SUV And Sportback Variants Launched In India; Check Prices, Features And Other Details Here

Audi India on Friday launched the new Q8 e-tron in India with a new design, a more kilometre range and a plethora of new technological advancements. Prices for the Audi Q8 e-tron SUV and Sportback (ex-showroom) begin at Rs 1.14 crore and Rs 1.18 crore, respectively. Two powertrain choices are available - 50 and 55. Reservations for the electric SUV/Sportback can be made with an amount of Rs 5 lakh. The Audi Q8 e-tron is essentially an upgraded version of the Audi e-tron.

Audi Q8 e-tron - Design and Cabin

Audi has not altered the exterior style as compared to the e-tron, though the name has been changed from e-tron to Q8 e-tron. The grille has a new mesh pattern, and an LED bar spans the entire width of the nose. The brand's new 2D logo is also featured on the Audi Q8 e-tron. Reprofiled bumpers have been used for the front and back. The 20-inch alloy wheels are available with a new design.

Even fewer changes are made to the cabin than the exterior. For the infotainment system and temperature control/seat ventilation settings, the Q8 e-tron has a dual-screen configuration with a 10.1-inch monitor and an 8.6-inch display in the middle, respectively. The car gets a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, and a fully digital instrument panel.

Audi Q8 e-tron - Engine and Battery Specifications

Major charges are made in the power output of the car as in the 55 variant, the battery pack has been upgraded to 114kWh and in the 50 variant, the battery pack has been changed from 71kWh to 95kWh. With a dual-motor arrangement, the Q8 e-tron 55 has 408 bhp, while the Q8 e-tron 50 has 340 bhp.

The Sportback's range is said to be 600 km for the Q8 e-tron Sportback 55 and 505 km for the Q8 e-tron Sportback 50 due to its improved aerodynamics. The Q8 e-tron SUV's range is claimed at 491 km and 582 km for models 50 and 55, respectively. The Q8 e-Tron comes equipped with a 170kW DC fast charger, but Audi also includes a 22kW AC charger. The BMW iX and the Jaguar i-Pace are rivals of the Q8 e-tron.
