Electric cars are undoubtedly the future of automobiles. Every luxury automaker in the world is getting its feet in the competition to create the fastest electric vehicles. Many manufacturers, including Tesla, Mercedes, and Volvo, have already introduced electric vehicles with top speeds of more than 160 km/h. Below is the list of the fastest electric cars in the world.

Rimac Nevera

The Rimac Nevera is now the fastest EV in the world, achieving a top speed of approximately 415 km/h. Additionally, it is one of the most expensive electric cars in 2023 with a price of over $2 million.

Aspark Owl

The Japanese engineering company Aspark's visionary project Aspark Owl promises to create the fastest-accelerating electric vehicle. The vehicle has a supposed top speed of 402 km/h and can reach 0-96 km/h in 1.69 seconds as of 2023.

New Tesla Roadster

One of the world's quickest electric vehicles is the New Tesla Roadster. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in around 1.9 seconds and has a top speed of 402 km/h.

Lotus Evija EV

The Lotus Evija EV is a limited-edition electric sports car that was created by the renowned British automaker Lotus Cars. The automobile has a top speed of 350 km/h and is priced at approximately $2.2 million.

Tesla Model S Plaid

One of the fastest electric vehicles in the world, the Tesla Model S Plaid is the brand-new, high-performance model of the Tesla Model S series. Its maximum speed is around 347 km/h. The vehicle's 637 km of range makes it one of the world's longest-range EVs as well as one of the fastest-accelerating vehicles.

Lucid Air Dream Edition

The Lucid Air Dream Edition offers an incredible top speed of 270 km/h. The vehicle is a model of engineering brilliance and is superior to other vehicles in terms of comfort and appearance.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S

In 2022, Bloomberg called the Kia EV6 GT a better alternative to the Tesla Model 3, and it has then gone on to win numerous other important awards in the Car of the Year category.
