Citroen’s arrival in India

The mid-size SUV industry in India is absolutely expanding, and nearly every automaker has a product to offer in this market. And those who do not yet own a model for the present scenario are all prepared to attack and mount a challenge. One of the newest automobile brands to enter the market is Citroen India. The Citroen C3 Aircross will be the company's fourth model, but it is the one with the most potential.

The C5 Aircross was introduced as Citroen India's flagship model in 2021 after the company entered the market in 2019. This was followed by the eC3 all-electric vehicle earlier this year and the C3 hatchback in 2022. But given that the C3 Aircross mid-size SUV is making some enormous promises, its entirely serious objective for customers will now become evident.

In India, the mid-size SUV market is distinct since opportunities and challenges existent in almost equal measure. The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Mahindra Scorpio-N, and Tata Harrier are some of the top models available, but Maruti Suzuki, Skoda, Volkswagen, MG Motor India, and Toyota are all good choices. With its Elevate, Honda is also prepared to enter the fray. It is difficult to carve out a niche market and provide a convincing concept in that case. Citroen however emphasizes that it is not in India to do simple tasks while highlighting the advantages of its products.

Citroen’s SUV: Exteriors

The C3 Aircross is a stylish SUV that incorporates muscular looks with athletic styling cues as part of the overall design dynamics that set Citroen vehicles apart from those of other brands.
A solid front grille with the Citroen insignia on top and Y-shaped LED DRLs on either side can be seen on the model's face. Just below are the headlight sections, which are lit by halogen lights rather than LEDs. In order to add a little more aesthetic character, there is also a silver skid plate toward the bottom.
The C3 Aircross' 200 mm ground clearance is particularly noticeable from the side, and its 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels also appear more attractive. The side doors have cladding, and the roof rails complete the overall profile. The SUV features 3D jewel-effect taillights and a rear spoiler on the back. The words "Citroen" and "C3 Aircross" are boldly displayed on the trunk.

Citroen’s SUV: Interiors

Whether one chooses the traditional five-seater version or the five plus two, the wheelbase of 2,671 mm is significant in this case. Because space in the last row seats is at a premium, the firm is emphasizing that this is "five plus two" rather than 7. The two adult occupants would still be crowded after they were secured into their positions, notwithstanding how simple it is to get in and out. Being cramped here, especially on extended rides, won't be pleasant, but having the option of these seats is still fantastic.

Citroen’s SUV: What's Inside?

The Citroen C3 Aircross's turbo petrol engine is connected to a six-speed manual transmission and continues to be just as agile as ever.
The same 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that powers the Citroen C3 hatchback also powers the C3 Aircross. The corporation is clever because it will start offering this turbo motor with the base model.
This engine has already established a reputation for being a reliable workhorse and, despite the C3 Aircross' greater dimensions, it still exhibits its snappy and spirited characteristics. It is paired with a six-speed manual transmission with long throws, and the combination is excellent for a sporty driving.
