GRAP-4 Restrictions: The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) announced today that the GRAP-4 (Graded Response Action Plan) restrictions in Delhi have been lifted with immediate effect. The air quality in the national capital had recently fallen to the ‘Severe’ category, and the GRAP-4 rules were implemented by the CAQM on December 13. While the GRAP-4 rules have been lifted, the No PUC No Fuel rule remains in force. Let’s take a look at the things that have remained unchanged and the changes after the GRAP-4 rules have been removed in Delhi.
No PUC No Fuel Rule Is In Force
The environment minister of the Delhi government, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, recently announced that the No PUC No Fuel rule will remain in force even after the GRAP-4 is removed in the national capital. The GRAP-4 has now been removed as the air quality has improved in the national capital. However, vehicles without a valid PUC will not be allowed to refuel at the petrol stations in the state. ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras will automatically capture such vehicles, and such vehicles will also be liable for a fine of up to Rs 10,000 or legal action from the Delhi Police.

These Vehicles Are Now Allowed
It is worth noting that all non-BS-VI vehicles registered outside Delhi were barred from entering the national capital. While the GRAP-4 rules have been lifted, the entry of non-BS-VI vehicles registered outside the state will remain banned. As per GRAP-3 rules, BS-3 and BS-4 diesel vehicles are still banned from operating in the national capital. However, BS-4 petrol vehicles can now operate on the roads of the national capital.
