Force Gurkha 5-Door Variant Teased: Force Motors has provided a sneak peek into their upcoming Gurkha 5-door variant. After undergoing extensive testing and being spotted in various locations across the nation, the Gurkha 5-door is slated to be launched in the Indian market by May 2024. Since 2022, the Gurkha 5-door has been undergoing testing, and is expected to feature several updates compared to its 3-door predecessor.

Force Gurkha 5-Door - Exterior Design
Among these updates, cosmetic changes include the introduction of square headlamps in place of the previous circular ones, while retaining the characteristic two-slat grille. Additionally, the SUV will boast larger 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with alterations to the front and rear bumpers. One of the most significant updates is the addition of two extra rear doors, enhancing the accessibility and practicality of the Gurkha. Despite these changes, the overall exterior design is expected to remain largely consistent.
Force Gurkha 5-Door - Interior
Moving inside, the Gurkha 5-door is anticipated to feature a familiar layout but with significant upgrades in terms of functionality. The manual controls are expected to be replaced by knobs. Force Motors may offer various seating arrangements, including a 5-seater two-row version, a 6-seater three-row variant and a 7-seater option with individual captain seats for the third row.
Force Gurkha 5-Door - Engine Specs
In terms of engine specs, the Gurkha 5-door is likely to retain the same 2.6-litre diesel engine sourced from Mercedes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine is capable of producing a power output of 91 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

Force Gurkha 5-Door - Price and Rivals
While the exact pricing remains undisclosed, it is speculated that the Gurkha 5-door could come with a premium of Rs. 2 lakh over its 3-door counterpart which is currently sold at a price of Rs 15.10 lakhs (ex-showroom). Post its launch, the Gurkha 5-door will face competition from the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door that is expected to launch by the end of 2024.
