Kawasaki Ninja 500 Teased: Kawasaki Motor India has shared a teaser for the upcoming Ninja 500 motorcycle, indicating its upcoming launch in the country. The new Kawasaki Ninja 500 is set to replace the Ninja 400. It was globally unveiled at EICMA 2023 and has been gradually replacing its predecessor in various markets. The Kawasaki Ninja 500 is now anticipated to be launched in the Indian market soon with several new updates.

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 - Design
In terms of design, the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 takes inspiration from its siblings, the Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-10R, featuring twin LED headlamps, a sharp side fairing and split seats. The bike retains its steel trellis frame, now adapted for the larger engine capacity.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 - Engine Specs
Talking about the new upgrades, one of the most significant changes is the engine. The engine in the Ninja 500 has been upgraded to a 451 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, replacing the previous 399 cc twin-cylinder engine. This new engine also delivers more torque, increased to 42.6 Nm compared to the previous 37 Nm. In terms of power output, it remains consistent at 45 bhp. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip-and-assist clutch.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 - Hardware
In terms of hardware, the Kawasaki Ninja 500 boasts other impressive features such as telescopic forks at the front, a monoshock at the rear. For braking responsibilities, it gets a 310 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. It also comes equipped with a TFT digital instrument console, Kawasaki Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System (KIPASS), a Type-C charging port, and more.

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 - Expected Price
Talking about the expected price of the upcoming Kawasaki Ninja 500, it is anticipated to be priced around Rs 5.4 lakh (ex-showroom). Moreover, the Kawasaki Ninja 500 is expected to be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). It will compete against rivals such as the new Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha R3, and KTM RC 390 in the segment.
