Kia India celebrated a momentous occasion as it reached a significant milestone of dispatching one million vehicles from its manufacturing facility in Anantapur. The milestone also marked the rollout of the first unit of their latest SUV, the new Seltos facelift 2023.
Kia Seltos Facelift 2023 Becomes Company's One Millionth Vehicle
At a unique event conducted at its global facility in Anantapur, Kia India celebrated the production of 1 million units. The New Seltos' introduction as the one-millionth vehicle served as the event's high point.
The event was attended by Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Minister of Finance, Planning, and Legislative Affairs, Gudivada Amarnath, Minister of Industries, Infrastructure, Investment and Commerce, and Information Technology, Gorantla Madhav, and G Sankaranarayana, Member of the Legislative Assembly from Penukonda.
Kia Seltos Facelift 2023: Pre-Bookings Open
One of the most technologically advanced and secure SUVs on the market in India is the new Seltos, which comes with a revamped design and 32 safety features, including superior Level 2 ADAS with 17 functions. The car also gets the highly-anticipated electric sunroof and is available for pre-bookings starting today.
Kia’s Biggest Manufacturing Plant In India
The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Anantapur has played a pivotal role in Kia's success, producing over 532,450 units of the Seltos (including both outgoing and incoming models), 332,450 units of the Sonet, 120,516 units of the Carens, and 14,584 units of the Carnival, said the company in a statement.
Kia’s Entry In India
With the launch of the Seltos in August 2019, Kia made its entry into the Indian market. The SUV enthusiast community welcomed the Seltos instantly. Kia reached the incredible milestone of 500,000 sales in a timeframe of 46 months. Kia strengthened their position in India by expanding their product line by releasing the Carnival and Sonet in 2020, followed by the Carens and EV6 in 2022.
