New GST Rates: MG Hector, Astor, And Gloster Become Cheaper By Up To Rs 2.83 Lakh, Check New Prices Here

GST 2.0:  JSW MG Motor India announced passing on the full benefits of the GST rate cut to the consumers after the implementation of the new GST rates. The brand’s ICE portfolio in the country comprises the MG Hector, the MG Astor, and the MG Gloster. The Indian government announced a reduction of 10 per cent in GST rates on September 4, and the new GST rates came into effect from September 22, 2025, onwards. Let’s take a look at the individual price benefits offered on the MG Hector, the MG Astor, and the MG Gloster.

MG Hector New GST Prices

The MG Hector has remained the most popular car in the brand’s ICE portfolio ever since its introduction in the country. The MG Hector is available with options of a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The MG Hector prices started from Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) earlier. After a reduction of Rs 49,000 post the implementation of GST 2.0, the prices now begin from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Astor New GST Rates

The MG Astor is available with options of either a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The Astor by MG has received the least benefit from the new GST rates announced by the Indian government. Earlier, the MG Astor prices started at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV has received a Rs 34,000 price reduction, and its ex-showroom price now starts at Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Gloster New GST Prices

The MG Gloster rivals one of the most popular SUVs in India, the Toyota Fortuner. The MG Gloster is available with options of a 2.0-litre turbo and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. The Gloster by MG has received the highest benefit in the brand’s portfolio, and it has seen a price reduction of Rs 3.04 lakh post the implementation of new GST rates. Earlier, the prices for the Gloster started at Rs 42.63 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas it is now priced at Rs 39.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
