Tata Motors, one of India’s largest automobile manufacturers has been showing dedicated efforts in prioritising safety in all its models. Aligning with this, the manufacturer has made the Electronic Stability Control safety feature a standard offering in the Tata Altroz hatchback across all variants. Moreover, despite this addition, the manufacturer has not increased the prices of the Tata Altroz. The Altroz hatchback will continue to be available in India with its prices ranging between Rs 6.65 lakh that goes up to Rs 10.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

How Is Electronic Stability Control Helpful (ESC)

ESC is a safety feature in your car that kicks in automatically if it senses you're starting to lose control, such as when you're taking a sharp turn too quickly. It's always active when your car is on and steps in to help keep you steady on the road when needed.

Tata Altroz - Safety Features 

Apart from the Electronic Stability Control safety feature, the Altroz retains its existing safety features such as dual front airbags, Brake Sway Control, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts and impact-sensing door unlock.

Tata Altroz - Engine Specs 

Talking about the engine specs of Tata Altroz, it is available with three engine options along with a CNG variant as well. There's a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 87 bhp and 115 Nm of torque, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with 108 bhp and 140 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 89 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. Additionally, there's a CNG variant with a detuned engine generating 73 bhp and 103 Nm of torque. All engines come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, except for the 1.2-litre petrol engine, which gets a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Tata Altroz competes with models like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20 in the premium hatchback segment.

Tata Altroz Racer Variant 

Additionally, Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Altroz Racer model in India. The Tata Altroz Racer variant was first showcased at Auto Expo 2023. The Altroz Racer variant shares its engine with the Nexon that is capable of producing 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. Notably, it also receives an upgraded 6-speed gearbox, enhancing its performance compared to the standard models.
