Tata Sierra Vs Harrier: Tata Motors recently revealed prices for the lower- and mid-spec variants of the Sierra SUV. The base model, the Smart+ Petrol-MT, starts at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the automatic version ranges from Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The turbo variants, meanwhile, can be had at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 17.99 lakh. Along with the NA (naturally aspirated) and turbo-petrol engine options, Tata offers a turbocharged diesel engine, which can be paired with either a manual or an automatic gearbox.
The Sierra measures around 4,300mm in length, positioning it between the Curvv and the Harrier in the company's lineup, while competing against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and the Maruti Suzuki Victoris in the mid-size SUV segment. Here, we compare the Sierra with the Harrier to find out how they stack up against each other:
Tata Sierra Vs Harrier: Price
Tata has yet to share the complete price list for the Sierra, but the current prices sit in the Rs 11.49 lakh-Rs 18.49 lakh bracket. On the other hand, the Harrier starts at Rs 14 lakh for the standard Diesel-MT and goes up to Rs 25.25 lakh for the Stealth Edition. All prices are ex-showroom.

Tata Sierra Vs Harrier: Engine Options
Tata offers three 1.5-litre engine options with the Sierra SUV: a 105bhp NA petrol, a 158bhp turbocharged petrol, and a 116bhp diesel. The NA petrol is mated to both manual and DCT, while the turbo petrol engine only gets an automatic gearbox. The diesel mill is also available with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Meanwhile, the Tata Harrier is currently offered with a 168bhp, 2.0-litre diesel engine, which can be paired with either a manual or automatic gearbox.
That said, Tata will soon introduce the petrol version of the Harrier. A 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, mated to both manual and automatic gearboxes, is expected. With the Harrier petrol, prices are expected to be lower than its diesel counterpart.
Tata Sierra Vs Harrier: Features
Unlike the Sierra, which offers a triple-screen setup and a 12-speaker JBL system, the Harrier diesel gets a dual-screen layout and a 19-speaker JBL music system. The Sierra additionally gets a dashboard-mounted sound bar, extendable sun visors, and frequency-dependent dampers. Common bits include a blind spot monitor, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, an electronic parking brake, and Level 2 ADAS. The Sierra gets 6 airbags as standard, whereas the Harrier offers 7.

Tata Sierra Vs Harrier: Dimensions
In terms of dimensions, the Sierra measures 4,340mm in length, 1,841mm in width, and 1,715mm in height. It features a 2,730mm wheelbase, a 205mm ground clearance, and 622 litres of rear storage space. In contrast, the Harrier is 4,605mm long, 1,922mm wide, and 1,718mm tall. The wheelbase is also 11mm longer, at 2,741mm, but the ground clearance is the same as the Sierra's. The boot space is rated at 445 litres.
