MG Hector Facelift Launch Date: JSW MG Motor India has announced that the official unveiling of its upcoming Hector SUV will take place on December 15, 2025. In the lead-up to that, the car manufacturer has dropped another teaser, revealing the new SUV's sharper and more assertive styling. From the teaser, the new honeycomb-pattern grille sets a bold tone, with the MG logo in the middle. The horizontally stacked LED headlamps are positioned between eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and fog lamps. The headlamp design is identical to that on the outgoing version, though. Expected bits include a mildly tweaked front bumper, a new alloy wheel design, and fresh exterior paint schemes.
MG Hector Facelift: Features
Apart from revised styling, the facelifted Hector is expected to bring tech enhancements to elevate the in-cabin experience, including the updated infotainment system with up to 10GB of RAM. Moreover, the vehicle is likely to benefit from multi-touch gesture controls, such as two-finger AC controls. Other expected bits include ventilated rear seats, a powered driver's seat, a panoramic sunroof, a digital assistant, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.

MG Hector Facelift: Engine Options
The 2026 is expected to carry over the turbo-petrol and diesel engine options from the outgoing model. That said, there is a chance that the brand might introduce a diesel-AT powertrain, since the Harrier and the Compass are offered with an automatic gearbox option, along with a manual unit. The Hector is currently available with the following gearbox options: 6-speed manual and 8-speed CVT.
MG Hector Facelift: Price
With the 2026 updates, the new Hector is likely to be priced north of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon arrival, the Hector will renew its rivalry with the likes of the Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier, and the Hyundai Alcazar in the segment.
