Toyota Rumion Safety: Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) announced a significant move toward enhancing the safety of its family mover, the Rumion. The brand made 6 airbags safety equipment standard across all variants of the Rumion, and this update comes without any addition in the prices of the 7-seater MPV. Let’s take a look at the features, safety, and engine of the Toyota Rumion.
Toyota Rumion: Features
The Toyota Rumion comes equipped with some of the most advanced features on offer. The Rumion features a list of amenities that includes a dual-tone interior with wooden finishes, a 7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, rear AC vents, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and connected car features.

Toyota Rumion: Safety Features
While two airbags were standard and 6 airbags were offered with top-of-the-line variants of the MPV, the Rumion now comes equipped with 6 airbags as standard. In addition to the 6-airbags, the Toyota Rumion also comes equipped with safety features such as ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Hold Assist, and rear parking sensors.

Toyota Rumion: Engine & Mileage
The Toyota Rumion is powered by a 1.5L K-Series engine available in petrol and CNG options. The engine is available with options of either a 5MT or a 6AT with paddle shifters. While the petrol engine generates up to 103 hp and 136.8 NM of torque, the CNG mill can generate a peak power and torque output of up to 87 hp and 136 Nm, respectively. The Rumion is capable of delivering a fuel economy of up to 20.51 km/l (MT) for Petrol and 26.11 km/kg for CNG.
