An incident of stone pelting has been reported from Bihar where an unidentified individual allegedly hurled a stone at a moving Bhagalpur-Jaynagar Express train. A passenger onboard the train sustained injuries in the incident. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, a user has shared pictures and videos of the incident. The picture shows the perpetrator throwing stones at the train. Another picture shows the rail passenger with visible injuries, apparently bleeding from his nose.

''Bhagalpur Jaynagar Intercity Express was pelted with stones between Darbhanga and Kakarghati, on which @spjdivn sir immediately arrested the stone pelter. The railway administration is requested to take strict action against the culprit so that such an incident does not happen again,'' the user wrote on X while sharing the pictures and video of the incident.

Reacting to the tweet, the Ministry of Railways said that they identified the accused and registered a case against him under various sections. "Taking immediate action on the incident of stone pelting by anti-social elements, we have identified the accused and registered a case under various sections,” the Railways Ministry said.

The Ministry has also issued a public appeal, requesting citizens to promptly report any such instances of stone pelting or anti-social behaviour to the authorities. Earlier this week, a video of a group of people pelting stones on a passenger train in Maharashtra's Jalagoan district surfaced on social media.

The video shows the individuals throwing stones at the moving train, creating a situation of panic and fear among the passengers on board as they could be heard screaming. Passengers can also be seen closing the window to protect themselves from stone pelting. Such incidents were also reported earlier from several parts of the country, drawing the attention of authorities to take strict actions.
