Bihar Election 2025: Amid growing speculations of internal disagreements, the Mahagathbandhan alliance is yet to finalise its seat-sharing arrangement. Meanwhile, the deadline to file nominations for the second phase of Bihar Election 2025 has passed. Bihar has 243 assembly seats. For these, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has announced 143 candidates, the Congress has put out 60 candidates, CPI announced nine candidates, CPI(M) four, CPI(ML) Liberation named 20 nominees, and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) announced 15 names.

Bihar Election 2025 will be held in two phases, on November 6 and 11. The results will be announced on November 14 by the Election Commission.

At least 11 seats are headed for a ‘friendly contest’ among the alliance partners.

Tejashwi Yadav On Rift In Mahagathbandhan

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday dismissed reports of any rift within the Mahagathbandhan, assuring that all issues will be resolved by tomorrow. Amid concerns over ‘friendly clashes’, Congress veteran Ashok Gehlot has been sent to Patna to mediate and meet Yadav to smooth over differences.

"There are no disputes. You will get all the answers tomorrow," Tejashwi told reporters at a press conference.
